The Government of Guyana (GOG) has received funding from the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF) for the project "Institutional Strengthening in Support of Guyana's Low Carbon Development Strategy and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services." The Government of Guyana (GoG) started a process of preparing a Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for Guyana in October 2015.
Following the first meeting of the National TNA Committee on November 20, 2015, Sectorial Expert Working Groups (WGs) were established to allow for an active role by stakeholders in the TNA process and to support the work of the consultants.
