Georgetown, Guyana – (March 26, 2017) The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Guyana Office in collaboration with the Office of Climate Change of the Ministry of the Presidency, the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) and several other organisations, last evening, observed Earth Hour 2017 with a special Lights Out Concert at the National Park.
WWF Guyana has been organizing the Earth Hour climate change awareness event for quite a few years. And what begun as a small gathering of people, has now become a big event, capable of rallying institutions, international organizations, business and a wide array of partners around the topic of climate change.
This year’s Earth Hour in Guyana is managed and organized by WWF Guianas – Guyana Office, in close collaboration with a series of partners: Caribbean Youth Environment Network in Guyana, Protected Areas Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, Ministry of Education, Office of Climate Change,

Earth Hour is a global grassroots initiative which takes place annually at the end of March about spreading awareness on environmental issues in our global and local communities.
