The OCC has organised several activities to specifically target school children, who are seen as a major stakeholder group in this entire process. A debate competition is scheduled for May with students of the Bartica and the Three-Miles Secondary schools. This will be followed with a spelling bee competition for students at the primary school level. These activities will be done in collaboration with the Department of Education in Bartica.
Additionally, a mobile app, which is currently being developed, will also be launched in May. This application will ensure information on Guyana's first green town is readily available to citizens all across the country.
The public can also access additional information on the 'Green Bartica' Facebook page and Youtube channel or follow the transitioning process on Twitter by using '#greenBartica'.
